Explore how Jung's system of psychological types illuminates an individual's relationship to the world. His system classifies the individual according to two personality attitudes—introversion and extroversion—and four personality functions: thinking, sensation, intuition, and feeling. Jung believed that one's psychological type determines and limits a person's judgment. An understanding of type can be an invaluable tool for improving communication with others and deepening one's inner work. This is an introductory course and can serve as a gateway course to further exploration. The format will be lecture and discussion of required reading.
Required reading: Personality Types: Jung's Model of Typology, Daryl Sharp
