Calm the mind and the eye by engaging in contemplative photography. We will experience photography meditatively, and we will experience meditation photographically through weekly exercises. Our focus will be on creating open and aware seeing, slowing down, and looking more closely to discover beauty in ordinary life, with an emphasis on process rather than photographic technique. Class time will include discussion and review of images participants bring to class. All levels of photographic expertise are welcome. Participants should know how to operate their camera and may use digital or film, point-and-shoot or SLR cameras.
