Create a stronger, more authentic connection to the deeper self in this four-week course. In her bestselling work Women Who Run with the Wolves, Clarissa Pinkola Estes presents myths and fairytales that offer each of us a door to the world of the Wild Woman. Through story, we can access this deeper, more instinctual self, which is too often forgotten, left behind, or never intimately, consiously known. Using lecture, film, journaling exercises, and guided class discussion, these four weeks will provide participants glimpses of just who and what the Wild Woman represents and invites in the lives of contemporary women: an opening to creativity, a deepening of relationship to others and to the wider world, and most of all, a more authentic connection with one's true self.
Required reading: Women Who Run with the Wolves: Myths and Stories of the Wild Woman Archetype, by Clarissa Pinkola Estes.
