Most serious students of literature consider William Butler Yeats as the greatest poet of the last century. This course will consider his life, his loves, his varied engagements in Irish history, but most of all some of his enduring poems. One finds many Jungian themes in this keen observer of the soul in intimate relationship, in politics, and in the search for the transcendent.
Required reading: Selected Poems and Plays of W. B. Yeats, M.L. Rosenthal, Ed.

James Hollis, Ph. D., is an author and Jungian analyst in private practice in Houston.
