Outreach at The Jung Center

Through the generosity of private donors and such public foundations as the Houston Endowment and the Powell Foundation, we continue to offer a wide range of outreach programs to the Houston community. Instructors lead classes in the expressive arts and movement for the children attending the after-school program at The Nehemiah Center. Children whose lives have been dislocated by family violence attend weekly yoga and movement classes at the Houston Area Women's Center Shelter. Seniors at St. Dominic's Village maintain and develop their sensorimotor skills in weekly art classes. Professional caregivers attend Caring for the Caregivers, a series of continuing education workshops offered free of charge, thanks to the generosity of the Hamman Foundation. And adolescents dealing with substance-abuse issues experience the healing powers of creative expression in classes offered at the New Life Outreach Center in Huntsville.

We continue to offer a free class for those living with cancer, their families or caregivers, and cancer survivors at the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center's Place...of wellness. "Rest, Relax, and Rejuvenate with the Feldenkrais Method" is held on Tuesdays at 10:30 - 11:30am.

We can use your help to continue this work in support of others. For more information, contact Sean Fitzpatrick at 713.524.8253 x13 or sfitz@cgjunghouston.org.
