Immerse yourself in color in these two week-long painting workshops. Discover your personal color preferences and their relationship to history and myth. We will cover the world of color terminology and use, and you will be introduced to fundamental concepts of color. In the first week, we will cover monochromatic, analogous, complementary, and split complementary colors. In the second week, we will cover more advanced concepts including lustre, iridescence, and luminosity. Each day you will complete a small painting relating to each concept covered. This class is suitable for experienced artists wishing to enhance their understanding of color as well as beginners seeking to experiment with various color concepts. Students will work in acrylic paints. Please contact The Jung Center prior to the beginning of class for a supply list. Students may sign up for one or both weeks.
