Immerse yourself in color in these two week-long painting workshops. Discover your personal color preferences and their relationship to history and myth. Explore color terminology and use, and review fundamental concepts of color. In the first week, monochromatic, analogous, complementary, and split complementary colors will be discussed. In the second week, more advanced concepts including lustre, irridescence, and luminosity are reviewed. Each day you will complete a small painting related to concepts covered. This class is suitable for experienced artists wishing to enhance their understanding of color as well as beginners seeking to experiment with various color concepts. Students will work in acrylic paints, and may sign up for one or both sessions.

Linda Peyton Huff is a professional artist who has studied privately with Dorothy Hood and Patrick Palmer. She has exhibited in local galleries, and her work is in various private collections.
