Adam and Eve in the Garden

 

Art historian Sharon Lorenzo and analyst J. Pittman McGehee explore the Hebrew creation myth in this special presentation.

Explore the visual and psychological progression of the Hebrew creation myth in this lecture, presented in honor of the life of Leone Guthrie Reeder.

Ms. Lorenzo will use pictures and paintings to trace the evolution of the myth of the Garden of Eden and the Fall through the history of art.

Dr. McGehee will offer a Jungian interpretation of this creation myth, drawing on the psychological as well as the theological implications of the archetypal story.

 
 

Sharon Lorenzo, JD, is an attorney and art historian and teacher at the University of Pennsylvania.

J. Pittman McGehee, DD, is an Episcopal priest and a Diplomate Jungian analyst.
