Can we become more openhearted with ourselves and others, as we are, in life as it is? In this class, we will learn practices to achieve a relaxed yet aware state of mind, and we will begin to clear away obstacles, such as anger, attachment, and ignorance, that can close our minds and hearts. As we turn inwards we can connect to a safe inner space, where through our inner stillness, silence, and openess, we can connect to our inner home and awareness with warmth. Practices include awareness of breath, visualization, concentration of the mind, and the awareness of sound as embodied energy. The growing sense of completeness one develops through these practices can then become integrated into your life and relationships outside of meditation—and can contribute to a healthier and openhearted lifestyle.
