9 am - noon
$60 ($50 Jung Center members)

Distill the hard-won wisdom and rich history of your life in this exploration of the craft of memoir writing. The essentials of memoir writing will be introduced, from choosing the central focus to essential narrative techniques of prose writing. We will explore how to conceptualize a book-length memoir as well as shorter essays. Along with developing the writer's arsenal of techniques, we will discuss the current publishing marketplace for memoir. Short writing exercises and resources for both budding and more advanced memoirists will be presented.
