Horse Whispering, Healing and Human Awareness

Explore why the horse has recently emerged as healer and agent of human spiritual development, after twenty centuries of philosophical, religious and social denigration in Western culture. In this presentation, and in a following live demonstration, natural horsemanship clinician Herman Detering will discuss this development and place it in the context of our changing Western regard for nature and all sentient beings. Saturday morning, Herman Detering will give a free demonstration of his method of working with horses at 10:30 am at Southwind Farms (SouthwindFarmsTx.com). All are welcome. The demonstration will last until noon.

Herman Detering’s life journey includes many years of graduate study, psychoanalysis, teaching, and writing. An interest in ethology has drawn him to the study and practice of gentling wild and abused horses and cattle.
