Do objects from nature stir your artistic curiosity and inspire you to create art? Ever try abstract art and wonder how to create a successful painting? Join us as we observe and experience different methods and perspectives in working with objects from nature. Students will destruct and construct parts and pieces—coming up with some new approaches for designing that will help them find ideas for several small paintings. This workshop is a continuation of last summer's Abstracting from Nature. The previous workshop is not a prerequisite.

Some drawing/painting experience is recommended.

Margaret Dobbins has been a professional artist and teacher for over 30 years. Having taught in public schools briefly, she began teaching workshops for art teachers for Binney & Smith in 1993 for a ten-year period. Now she divides her time between painting for gallery showings and teaching a small group of artists. She teaches artists to develop their own styles by working with their strengths and presenting them with new challenges for further development.
