Take an uncommon opportunity to explore the human form in this art workshop, in which participants will complete life-size drawings or paintings on large sheets of paper. Starting with sketches or photographs we will enlarge the figures to life-size using the grid method and then define and add detail to the figure using pencils, pastels and paint. All are welcome, and no previous experience is necessary. Participants need to bring a photograph to work from. All other materials are provided.

Lisa Qualls received her BFA at the University of Texas at Austin. While teaching art in the classroom, she continued to study photography, ceramics, textiles and printmaking at Santa Chiara, Italy; Parsons and The Fashion Institute of Technology, New York; and the Southwest School of Art and Craft, San Antonio.
