Explore the dangers of seduction, in the Biblical sense, during this reading and conversation about Oscar Wilde's Salomé. Wilde depicts Salome as a seductress of her stepfather and a murderer of a saint. Using the infamous "Dance of the Seven Veils," Salome takes advantage of King Herod's lust to obtain the object of her desire - John the Baptist. Please join us for a reading of the play, followed by a discussion of the themes with the cast and psychotherapist Sean Fitzpatrick. |
