Discover the Tibetan approach to transforming the destructive emotions that are obstacles to enlightenment. Anger, greed, ignorance, jealousy, pride, and pleasurable distraction are symbolized in the Six Lokas, the six realms of cyclic existence in Tibetan tradition. The Meditation of the Six Lokas traditionally has been explained in terms of the purification of beings in other realms of existence, but Western practitioners may find it more useful to experience each of the realms within themselves.

During this retreat, Tenzin Rinpoche will explain how physical movements, breath, mantra, imagery, and contemplation deeply purify the seeds of our karmic patterns and support the healing that comes from resting in one's true nature, the source of all joy and happiness.

Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche, a Lama in the Bon tradition of Tibet, presently resides in Charlottesville, Virginia. He is founder and director of Ligmincha Institute, dedicated to preserve and introduce to the West the religious teachings and arts of the ancient Tibetan Bon Buddhist tradition. He has been in the United States since 1991 and has taught at Rice University and the University of Virginia, and throughout Europe and America.
