Join artist Bonnie Brewer and therapist Sylvia Sullivan Villarreal for a fun and engaging exploration of seeing. When we look at things, we bring our own biases, filters, and preconceived notions to everything we take in. We think we know something when, on further observation, we realize we didn't know as much as we thought we did. How can we move to a deeper way of seeing? To really take time to discover the layers in people's personalities, in written words, and in works of art, takes time and patience. But, in looking more deeply, the rich tapestry of life begins to unfold. Through exercises, lecture, and discussion, participants will have an opportunity to reflect on seeing and recognizing the dualiites that exist in different areas of life.

Bonnie Brewer, a former public school teacher of 25 years, is an award winning artist with work in many private collections.

Sylvia Villareal, MEd, MPH, is a freelance writer and Stress Management and Biofeedback Educator at the Houston Headache Clinic.
