Gain a broad overview of major religious worldviews concerning illness, dying, and death. Perspectives from Hinduism, Buddhism, Daoism, Christianity, Judaism, and Islam will be included. We will pay particular attention to the ways that the medical beliefs of each culture can affect their view of proper healing approaches. Do you deal with patients or co-workers of multiple faith traditions? If so, this class is for you! An excellent and interactive workshop for all healthcare professionals, chaplains, therapists, human resource professionals, anyone dealing with a diverse workforce, and anyone interested in learning more about different religious faiths.
