Discover how journaling can facilitate healing, creativity, and change. Recent studies indicate that journaling is one of the most effective ways to clear the mind in order to allow new thought patterns to emerge. These patterns correspond with changes on a chemical and cellular level so that the simple act of journaling is a mind/body experience that can help us take on challenges and move forward in ways we never imagined.

In this workshop, we will explore the connections that exist between thoughts, experiences, sensory awareness, and the health of the mind and body. Through the use of writing, pictures, sound and other sensory experiences, we will cultivate both a conceptual and practical understanding of how journaling can contribute to our ongoing well-being. Attention will be given to the differences between guided and unguided journaling. Techniques presented can easily be incorporated into a journaling practice at home.
