Has your curiosity been stirred by the myriad of supplies in an art supply store? Have you wondered what you could do with this or that item—but decided not to try it? This workshop gives you the opportunity to experiment and play with some of those supplies you decided not to try—or never figured out how to use successfully. A wide variety of media will be the order of the day: various types of oil pastels, colored pencils, paint and painting media, mediums, and papers. For those who need an assignment, possible projects will be given on the first day of class. This workshop is a wonderful opportunity to gain new knowledge—to apply to current work or get started on a whole new adventure in art. Artists can work abstractly or realistically.

Margaret Dobbins has been a professional artist and teacher for over 30 years. Having taught in public schools briefly, she began teaching workshops for art teachers for Binney & Smith in 1993 for a ten year period. Now she divides her time between painting for gallery showings and teaching a small group of artists. She teaches artists to develop their own styles by working with their strengths and presenting them with new challenges for further development.
