Does our constant striving to change ourselves for the better get in the way of our own development and happiness? The practice of mindfulness can help us be present and loving towards ourselves as we grow and develop.

Mindfulness, the intentional cultivation of non-judgmental, present-moment awareness, can help us to awaken from habitual mind states, understand reactivity to stressors, and address experience with greater clarity and creativity.

Research on the effects of mindfulness suggests that it helps practitioners reduce the immediate effects of stress and produces long-lasting, positive changes. Those who practice mindfulness have also experienced significant decreases in anxiety, depression, and a variety of physical symptoms.

This workshop offers a day of instruction, practice, and discussion.
