Explore the world around you through drawing. Far from a rigid copying of exactly what you see, this class invites students to respond and express themselves in a creative and adventurous manner. We will be using a variety of drawing tools—pencils, bamboo pens, ink, charcoal, and pastels—as we draw on a variety of surfaces—smooth drawing paper, Japanese rice paper, rough watercolor paper, brown paper, and pastel papers.
This class is suitable for the beginning artist wishing to explore their creativity as well as the more advanced artist seeking to further hone their drawing skills.
